Just a quick question, it says in the manual that one can import a character into a current campaign save game from the load screen. I can't for the life of me see that option anywhere. Can anyone tell me if this is possible and if so how to do it?

Yeah, that had me puzzled for awhile, too. You can only do that import trick in multiplayer mode.
Start up multiplayer from the main menu (you don't have to be online for this). If you've never done that before, you'll have to fill in a name and password (skip create an account), and do some server settings. Set allowed levels to 1-40, make sure local characters are allowed, and that item restrictions are off. I think that's all you need. Load in the save game where you want the new character to be. Part way through the load, you'll get - if I recall rightly - the new or premade character choice. Choose premade and pick the guy you want in the game. Then you will get another screen, asking if you want the in-game character or the one from the character list. Choose character list. When the game is up, your other guy should be there. Save this and exit back to the main menu. Load up the save as usual and go on from there. P.S. You may want to check the "remember password" box in case you want to do this again. |

Was just in the game to double-check the above. The advanced server settings are reached from the screen that displays the actual save games; it's on the lower right.
If you are replacing the in-game character with a completely different one, then you only see the screen for choosing pre-made characters. If you were replacing the in-game char with another of the same name, then you would get two screens, and the second is where you decide between in-game and pre-genned. |
