I've encountered 2 problems since returning from Durlag

First problem, Upon returning to Ulgoth's Beard and killing the cult members. I found the Cult house to be empty. From what I've read there is suppose to be some cult members and this Aec'Letec there. Has anyone else had this problem.

Second problem, I chose to get the sea chart for "the Mendas quest" after completing Durlag's Tower first. After giving him the sea charts, I received 2,000gp and was told to wait out by the docks while he gets a boat. I've waited a few hours game time for him and even tried resting to trigger him by the boat, but still nothing.

Has anyone done the Mendas sea chart quest after doing Durlags Tower first to get to Werewolf island and do I need to do Werewolf island to trigger the cult members and Aec'Letec in Ulgoth's Beard.

i just loaded totsc ande am leaving ulgoths beard, i dont know which quest to do first the balduran ship or the durlag tower. im not doin the tower first now

-Well, im not sure but i think you might have to give the dagger you get from the demonknight to the dwarf in the inn, that will trigger the aec´letec thing i think.

about the sea charts, you have to talk to a guy in the docks (heñs not mendas again but a bard-looking guy)

-You lose the dagger immediately upon returning to Ulgoth's Beard from Durlag's Tower. You fight about 7 cult members upon returning to Ulgoth's Beard between the Inn and the little house. The cult house across from the inn is empty and supposedly there are suppose to be a few cult guards outside and more cult members inside and downstairs.

As far as the Mendas quest goes I've been talking to everyone, but the chickens. Will give it a shot though.

Just try talkin to the guy that dishes the dirt on the main guy.

The dwarf just keeps asking me, "if im the person for the job" and Calahan the guy in green outside Mendas house at the docks says, "I know nothing more that will help ye".

Im not sure if I just got a hold of a glitch and can't do it now or if there is a time line on how fast you have to get him the sea charts.

Unfortunately, the only saved game I have is prior to completing all of Durlag's Tower. I'm going to redo the sea chart quest prior to Durlag's Tower to see if he appears at the docks. I will let you know if he appears.

I was hoping someone reading this could tell me if they did durlag's tower before doing the sea chart quest.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. I was doing a lot of searching for BG forums and really have to tip my hat off to you guys. You have a wonderful site here. I emailed it to a good friend of mine.

-After being asked to retrieve the sea charts by Mendas I came directly back to Ulgoth's Beard for the quest and low & behold he was out on the docks this time. My suggestion is that if you plan on doing Durlag's Tower before the Werewolf islands; that you not talk to Mendas inside his house first. It still might be possible, but I would hate for someone to have to redo Durlag's Tower all over again if I can help someone learn from what happened to me.

to get the sea charts you go to the counting house in the N-E in bg. you go to the second floor and either kill the captian(will talk to you)or pickpocket him (recomended). once you get them leave and report to mendas. hell take them and meet you right next to his house in between the 2 docks. hes on the end of the upper dock. talk to him say your ready to leave and then you set sail. i just beat that mission and its reeally cool! lots of magical and balduran"S stuff!!

I'm already on the Island for the sea chart quest. I was only saying that I some how caught a glitch that wouldn't have either Mendas appear after turning in the sea charts or have the cult appear inside their house. Either it was a glitch or one should do the sea chart quest before clearing Durlag's Tower once they have already spoken to Mendas.
