Khemphill -

I personally found rushing the Naga to be the best strategy in fighting the Naga. If you have a couple characters whacking on her with weapons while some magic users gather time to throw their spells the Naga has difficulty getting a strike in against your party.
I'll see if I can't locate another thread with Naga advice too.

If your Wizard has the stone magic high enough, meteorstorm is one spell that the Naga is not immune to. Peek around the corner, blast with a meteorstorm and then hide untill the storm is done. It usually takes 2 meteorstorm spells, so if you don't have meteorstorm or enough of them, the close range melee is better than staying back. Her ranged spells are much worse than her bites. But like others have said, if you time it right, you can move away just before she strikes and then rush in and whack her some more.

Good Luck.

And if you don't have Meteorstorm yet, use "Merlin's Shield" if you have it. Also power up on "Bloodlust" (potion if you don't yet have the spell), "Nimble", "Haste", "Bless", "Heroic Might", "Armored Realm", and you may try "Repel" on weaker characters. Then rush in and whack her to death!

Heres how I did it as well as other big fights. I attack and after I get a couple hits in save, get more hits in save, repeat throughout the battle and if some one getts killed or turned to stone reload. This may be considered cheating but it worked for me.

And remember to use the elixir! It puts the Naga to sleep and you can do healing and other maintenance spells on you.

Allegedly, if you "sleep" the Naga, you can slip past her, go visit the High Priestess, get the "Snakeskin" trait, and return and kill the Naga. (According to Ladybug...thanks!)

I just spend a few round dodging her lightnings by using the big shield in the middle of the room, while shooting at here with normal meteors (full effect), spectral raven (one in three worked) and all other offensive potential I had. This brought here down to maybe half. and after this I run in and took her in melee combat. Since by then I had forgotten about the potion, it was a matter of saving twice or thrice, but otherwise worked fine.

I forgot about Kirielle's potion that I traded the amulet for, so I missed out on the Snakeskin trait (I'll try to remember on my upcoming solo run!).

I'd heard she was hard to kill, so I boosted my party with the previously unused low level spells I had then, Toughen, Heroic Might, Armorplate, Bloodlust (didn't have Merlin's Shield yet), got up close and clicked that mouse non-stop until she was dead. Didn't even have my caster's try any spells. With the constant barrage of swords/staves, she hardly got any shots in, just curled up and died, and the gang moved on, not even bothering to heal. Big disappointment.

If you want to pass the Naga and get Snakeskin Trait, Merlin's Shield will help a lot. You must wait for the Naga to move away from the doorway before you use the Elixir on it. Hiding behind the disk helps. I heard that one player named Radek managed to get past the Naga without using the Elixir. He ran to the lever and then ran to the elevators before the Naga could catch him. (Elevators make good Naga killers.)

1. Naga seems to be helpless against the Merlin's Shield. Cast the spell and stop fearing her ranged attacks.
2. Two Firestorms/Icestorms/Meteorstorms = the end of Naga. You can also use Incinerate and other fire, ice, stone or fiend spells. Do not try Whirling Dervish and other vine spells - the vine spells do not seem to work well. Take some Mana Potions with you if you do not have enough spell points.
3. Do not fight Naga toe to toe. Also, bows are almost useless because Naga has several hundred of lives - you would need 200 or so good arrows.
4. The Snakeskin Trait: Cast Merlin's Shield. Click the lever on the disc (i.e., open the door behind Naga). Hide behind the disc and wait. Naga will leave her initial position (where she blocks the exit from the room) and take a position such that she can use her ranged attack on you. This is the moment when you can run out of the room even without the Kerielle's Potion. Run to the lever which opens the way to the elevator maze then run to the maze. Reach Ellysia, drink her potion (the Snakeskin Trait), kill her and return to the elevator maze. Naga will be in the first room of the maze.
