Racial advantages/disadvantages

Does anyone know what the racial advantages and disandvantages are for all the races in IWD? I've never heard of any fo gnomes or halflings so i'm wondering what the point in using them is.

I'm not sure but I think that Gonmes like Dwarves and Halflings get +5 bonus to their saves. Oh, welcome to IW! [img]smile.gif[/img]

Races, restrict what class you can play, and whether dual/multi-classing is allowed. Besides:

Elf

+1 dexterity bonus.
-1 constitution penalty.
Infravision(60').
Resistance to Charm and Sleep (90%).
Bonus to Long Bow and Long Sword (+1).
+10 stealth, +5 pickpockets, -5 open locks.

Half-Elf

Infravision(60').
Resistance to Charm and Sleep (30%).
+10 pickpockets, +5 stealth.

Gnome

+1 intelligence bonus.
-1 wisdom penalty.
Infravision(60').
Natural Resistance to Magic (+1 to saving throws for every 3.5 constitution).
+10 find traps, +5 stealth, +5 open locks.

Halfling

+1 dexterity bonus.
-1 strength penalty.
Resistance to Poison and Magic (+1 to saving throws for every 3.5 constitution).
bonus to Slings (+1).
+15 stealth, +5 find traps, +5 open locks, +5 pickpockets.

Dwarf

+1 constitution bonus.
-1 dexterity penalty.
-1 charisma penalty.
Infravision(60').
Resistance to Poison and Magic (+1 to saving throws for every 3.5 constitution).
+15 find traps, +10 pick locks.

ZFR, thanks for the info, but i dont think i can do anything to stop Gems from seeing it (besides quickly getting moderater staus and removing the thread)

dwarves do not have a -1 to dex, they have a maximum dex of 17.

yeah i think thats what he meant, it fits in with the dwarven constitution aswell

Hi guys - been having some connection problems - but when I did get back online this made me laugh.
Forget the stats, the small people have more character and this, after all, is a roleplaying game.

Why do small people have more character than others? If you give me one good reason ill stop everything im doing untill I complete a game with all gnomes and halflings.
