Ok im in the lower Dorns Deep, i got all the badges and after about two tries i killed Poquelin ( well made him run away anyway) then it transports me to whats left of Easthaven. Then the screen freezes like someone important was walking up to me and starting a forced dialog. but no one comes, it just freezes, i can move the mouse but all the side options are unavailble. Any ideas? is this a bug?

anyways... try clearing the cache folder, make a copy just in case |

I had the same problem but was last year, trying to remember. Ok I remember a few suggestions that I got from Interplay (have you tried them?) -save your game after you go up the stairs (after putting badges in slots) before you contact Poquelin was one, another was use no magic during the battle with Poquelin just beat the hell out of him, and another was move the Override folder but I cant remember where to. Anyway try the save game first option first, I did that it worked. I know your frustration, anyway I'm sure you'll get more suggestions shortly

Me to! try beating him also without pausing the game at all.
as I recall I had saved the game Immediately after beating him and that also caused the game to freeze? work through it a couple times I'm sure you'll make it through the freeze spot "hopefully" Best of luck!  and welcome to the board Sir Melvin!!------------------

Thanks, ill try the save game thing, i have the game saved at the bottom of the stairs after i put in the badges. ill try doing it without magic, shouldnt be that hard seeing that the only magic i have is in potions. (my part is made up of a fighter and a theif both evil

yeah, if that doesn't work; go into Windows Explorer and open the IWD folder. There should be a folder called "override" there. Take the folder out and paste it to your desktop. Launch IWD and load your save and replay the fight with the Rev. P. and kill him! Then the loading of the next area should go off without a hitch. I suppose at some point, you gotta put that override folder back; so might as well save again, quit the game and copy the override back to where it was. (i haven't noticed any problems with leaving the folder out for the rest of the game from this point) hope that helps >shrug<
