I have finished the underdark and returned and went on a buying spree. One item I missed when I overbought on some scrolls was the shield of Baldurian (and made some extra armor I probably don't need). It no longer seems to be in stock as after I went and got more cash, (by ravaging the guards and cowled wizards) again, but alas, Ribald has hidden it away.
Is this a bug? |

No, Ribald doesn't have it. Deidre has it, a bonus merchant with the special edition of SoA. She's also downloadable.

She's got a lot of nice items, although the shield is prolly my favorite, and the best anti-beholder item in the game.

indeed - it's probably the next item on my list to wean myself off
i'm playing a multi-player party with two mid-level duals at the moment and saved 'the beholder area' as effectively free-XP (other than the purchase price of course) |

Strange, I have one of the mods on for the experience cap removal, and I swore I saw that shield being sold the first time I asked Ribald after the stock had changed. I could go back to an earlier save and check (I'm quite a bit further in the game now, almost finished with the elven city).
