Oh God, I'm always here asking for help.

Anywho, last year I got a new computer (just in time to get an updated video card and play the *fabulous* game TOEE -- NOT!) and I installed BG2. I simply copied my Imoen Mod(s) folder from the old CPU to the new one, which should work fine given that I installed the game -- RIGHT?

Mkay, now to my question. I need to take the save games I shoved into a folder and save them in the new BG2 folder so that the game recognizes them. I currently have no saved game folder because I haven't played since then (I know -- shame, shame). Anyway, where do I need to copy my savegame files so they are recognized by my new installations of the game?

Oh, and if you think I screwed up the installation re the Imoen Mod stuff, please let me know.

THANKS.

You BG2 Save games need to go in the SAVE Folder in your BG2 directory

If its not there then you can create it.

Okay, folder named "SAVE" in my BG2 directory. I just needed to know what to title it so I could make it and put the games in it.

Not working. For some reason, it insists on opening the version of the game I have in the main install folder rather than the redirect to the baldur.exe that's in my Imoen mod folder. ?!?!?!?!

well then, it's time to reinstall the imoen mod.

it's my understanding it overwrites bg2 files and without an install, there's no overwriting. so no way for the game to recognize you have the imoen mod.
