Mad

I read in previous posts where romance lovetalks and sleepins won't occur in areas flagged as dungeons. My first(only?) sleepin with Viconia occured in the Planar Sphere...after it had been awarded to me as a stronghold. So I guess the game "deflags" areas after you clear them out and/or complete the quest involving the said area. True?

Yes, that's why you should never leave items in a place before it becomes your stronghold, as when it does the map changes and your items won't be there.

Partly true. Strongholds are generaly replaced with a cleaned out version after you obtain them, and the new version is generaly safe to rest in and so on, so it dosent have the dungeon flag.

But normaly, a dungeon is a dungeon is a dungeon even after the quests are finished and nothing evil dares set foot in the place.

Strange. I once had an Aerie lovetalk in the sewers under the Copper Coronet. Are you sure that it doesn't occur in dungeons?

maybe it's *flagged as dungeon* that makes the difference? I've had lovetalks in dungeons with all of them (Jaheira, Viconia, and Aerie). not all lovetalks are solely on timer; it also requires some specific event to occur (combined with timer). Not to spoil, but think about what you do most in a dungeon? some lovetalks are about your love interests' views/feelings of such thing. so, when the time is up and you're in a dungeon, they will talk to you in the dungeon.

There's a difference between a lovetalk and sleeping with someone. You can have a meaningful talk with someone almost anywhere, but a dungeon isn't exactly a sensual environment.
