small Tutu disaster, help needed

So Tutu is running fine without a hitch right, and I've ploughed my way through into chapter 7 and thought I'd go for a short break in Beregost. Now I understand that there are glitches with Beregost and you really should save every time before you leave town.

I quicksaved before leaving town and on departure (just after the autosave) the game crashes out into windows, I think nothing of it and restart the game, now when I try to load my save game or even the auto save it crashes out mid-load.

Is there a way to get round this? my only other save game is way back in chapter 4 and I really do not want to have to go through it again.

I believe that if you don't have an earlier save to refer to other than from chapter 4, then you are royally screwed. That's why it's always good to make manual saves every so often, and to not rely on the auto and quick saves.

Try posting on the forgotten realms forums in the tutu section on the pocket plane forums for help (there may be a patch available or something, I don't know).

saving manually is not a waste of time
