Hear ye, hear ye.

I hearby offer up the challenge to anyone who feels capable, to finished the game, BG2 with a mage charactor, without useing stoneskin.

...

Yea basicaly, I hear a lot of tactics talking about stoneskins/ironskins, and just want to put forth the challenge to finish the game without useing these spells at all.

Basicaly a challenge to finish the game without useing your standard spell setup, is anyone up to it?

However you want to play the game.

If you want to cheat in a challenge aganst yourself and the game then feel free, there is no prize for beating this challenge.

Party, solo, tactics whatever you want.

I shouldn't think it would be that difficult as long as you're not soloing. Tanks to take the heat and PfMW/mirror image if it all goes a bit wrong.

Yes, but the durations of said spells are rather short compaired.

There are other spells you could do this for, magic missle for one.

i've often though that a sorcerer with random spell selections would be a nice party character

Certainly great roleplay potential Armen. Like a wild mage, but less dangerous to his friends.

I wonder though, would it be possible for a sorceror to have random spells leap into his brain? I always imagined some sort of 'wishing' process might lead the sorceror to discover a new spell.

... IMO, playing Insane without Stoneskin or Ironskin would be the *point* of playing Insane. I mean, those spells and MI and PfMW (and 100% elemental damage resist via stack-buffing) just pretty much nullify any challenge that Insane offers, as 99% of the game is buffed only on the higher difficulty levels with damage boosters and those spells just take away the damage boosters. What tactics are there when all you have to do is slap on thsoe spells and be immune to anything the damage throws at you?
