tactics??

hello,

What is this mod i am hearing of called Tactics? i hear that somebody was able to create a monk character with it as well as a barbarian. Does it allow you to the select kits that the second game has?

If somebody could help clarify and give me a link to it i would be greatful

Playing with a Monk and Barbarian in the party at the same time is no big deal: Anyone can do that by starting a Multiplayer game. This allows you, instead of rolling up the 1 character that you use in Single Player, to create as many party members as you want, up to the maximum of six. (For general convenience, most player then move their saved game from the "mpsave" folder into the "save" folder, so it's just like playing a regular Single Player game--except more boring, because the party members you create yourself don't banter with each other, don't have unique soundsets, don't have any quests, etc.)

Tactics, on the other hand, is a mod. It was largely created by Westley Weimer, along with contributions from other modders, and contains many diverse components that make the game much, much more difficult. Battles that you won easily before now require much more strategy and preparation (and usually higher levels, better spells & equipment, and a big chunk of Reload knowledge too). Happily, each and every component of Tactics can be installed separately, so if you want to fight Smarter Mages but not Improved Ilyich, you can do so.
