Anyone remember Khalim Rashad somethin somethin that randomly appaered near one of the exit/entrances to places in athkatla? the one that throws a scimatar at you and you catch it....what on gods green earth is the significance(spelled that wrong -.-) of this???

isn't it just supposed to be a random mugging / humurous interlude? don't think it has any real significance...

Hahahaha. He is really cool! Ive only seen him a couple of times but he is really funny. He throws something at you and does 1 hp damage. Not much but really pissing if you are down to 1 hp !

NOTE: If you manage to hit him after he speaks and kill him, I believe your reputation drops... even though he tried to lob a scimitar of your head!

if he throws it at someone with a script they attack him...also ive tried throwing a dagger at him to see if he could catch it like i did the scimatar.....i lost some reputation points o_o

Really?! I've never lost Reputation from killing him. In fact, once he says his peace those are literally his last words in my games.

The guy that throws his scimitar was a character, if I remember right, entered into some sort of contest on the Black Isle boards. A lot of people submitted ideas for random characters in the game, and the fella that entered Rashad happened to to have his chosen. He has no real purpose, just kill him and be on your way.

Well he does throw 20 Gold at you in an Ilmater Temple, there's his purpose.

I've seen the guy a few times. Ran into him in the Temple of Ilmater, and the priest just said he's a bit high strung. Never got to kill him though.

Apparently, at least I heard it somewhere, that he wasn't properly finished when the game was released so his encounters are probably less than thrilling without some closure.
