My solo sorceror needs company!

I want a romance along the way so who shall I bring.

Jaheria
Viconia

I need help on this! Wait since I thought about forget Aerie! I don't want her complain about her freakin wings when I go on adventure!

Um... I can't really see the point in taking someone with you if you are soloing, unless it is plot specific. But, if you want to, each of the romances is good. What ones have you tried before? Why not try a new one? Do you need tanking support? Or more magic? Or more cleric spells? All these factors should affect your choice. Also, if you are roleplaying, you may wish to take someone along who has a similar alignment to your own.

Well, you won't be soloing anymore if you bring along company, but try Viconia. You can even do something special to her personality if you have ToB.

You've ruled out Aerie, and the Jahiera romance is such a CHORE! I don't have the patience to do it!
No, not the romance itself, but bypassing all of the bugs?! You need Improved Evasion to dodge all of them!

Well there are benefits to each character, but I think all of the romances are a hassle to get through in the early stages but are enjoyable once you hit the later stages of the game.

For Viconia, romancing her you'll have to be careful considering drow have unpredictable responses to anything you say in the game. Also if you want a cleric in your party, she also doubles as a good tank once she gets ahold of Crom Faeyr.

Jaheira, I think is the best romance, regardless of the Harper business you usually run into (though I don't think anyone has finished the romance in SoA). She's also very good as a front line fighter and fighting other mages when her spell Insect Swarm.

Aerie, the most annoying of the romances I will admit, but she is great for RPG and power playing purposes. Yes, she may whine, but she is a powerhouse in her upper levels and only having two party members through the game, a Cleric/Mage and a Sorcerer, you will be unstoppable.

That's my 2 cents.

Only with a mod. But if you're going to mod, then you can of course choose from a much wider range of romancing possibilities, but that's only if you really like mods. I prefer the standard romances myself (never managed to complete any of them before I've beaten the game) as mods tend to disrupt everything.
