BaldurDash?? Patches??

I currently have the Collection installed. I have been reading about all the Mod's and stuff for the game but I dont think I want to install any mod's yet, as I have not beat the original game yet. However it sounds like this BaldurDash patch fixes problems with the game. Is this correct? Should I go ahead and install it or will it change the game dramatically?

afaik 'Collection' is the BG1 plus tales of the sword coast 3 disk set - is that what you mean?

EDIT: sorry - didn't recognise your user name from the other thread - you should install baldurdash - if you haven't played and played and ruthlessly exploited the non-baldurdashed version you won't even notice

The baldurdash fix pack fixes a lot of bugs in the game. But I recommend you to install the official patch first, then continue it with the fix pack.

They have a BG2 Collection out now also. It comes with BG2 SOA and TOB. And a bonus disk that is supposed to add extra stuff in the game (items and such I think..

I looked at the site and it told me that with the BG2 Collection there were no patches needed.

So if I were to install the Baulderdash patches it would not mess up the game I am playing now, or dramatically change the gameplay??

AFAIK, no. It'll fix a lot of bugs though.

OK. I looked at all the patches on the Baulderdash site, and none of them seem to be for BOTH games (SoA and ToB).. From reading it looks like the ToB fix might fix the problems in SoA also, but I wasnt sure.

Can anyone tell me if all I will need is http://www.baldurdash.org/ToB/Fixes/TOBfixes.html to fix the bugs in both games? as I have both installed and I am only playing through the firrst one right now.
