I´m soloing my fighter/mage through the game...and I do need a familar that can pick pockets....find traps...open locks...AND do it on a descent level. My ferret doesn´t do it good...

? Thieving skills are not necessary to complete the game. Knock handles any vital game locks and Mirror Image/Stoneskins/Spell Abjuration handles any traps.
None of the familiars are good in all Thieving Skills. Certain familiars tend to specialise in certain skills, but overall... the benefit is very low. |
