Where to get Find Familiar?

I just started soloing a Sorc and i am not sure where to find a scroll of Find Familiar. I checked the shops in Waukeen's Promenade, and still cant find one. Can anyone help?

Only shop that has it is the merchant in Brynnlaw. There might be one in the Underdark city of Ust Natha as well and/or one of the black market dealers in the Docks District. There's a scroll in the de'Arnise Hold and another one carried by one of the thieves you encounter in the various "Shadow Thieves vs Vampires" events that take place randomly at night.

Isn't there one as well in the Slaver quest?

The second -or third- time you go to the City Gates, you'll find a guy trying to extort a merchant. Scare the guy away, and talk to the merchant. He has a Find Familiar scroll (and a Prot from Fire, IIRC).

why didnt you just choose that to be one of your spells?

Probably because it doesn't need to be memorised, or maybe for the 1000XP for scribing it

Heh, you only need to cast it once, so not much point in taking up a spell slot with it. Thanks for your help guys.

There's also one on the first floor of Nalia's keep, I think in the lion statue past the forge.

Yes, there is one in the keep although I think it's in a chest before the secret room with the lion statue.

You will also find one on the body of a shadow thief, after one of those vampire & shadow thief encounters (the encounter where 3 shadow thives are engaging one vampire, let the vampire kill the first shadow thief - the middle one - before you kill her. The corpse of this particular shadow thief has the scroll)
