arbane +2 with free action... I had it in the off -hand of my assasin and he got webbed. ¡¿?!. Ive never had a problem with off-hand weapons not applying their bonuses, and arbane has always given me free action... so why did I get webbed ? anyone know ? (the free action icon WAS in the portrait)

Arbane's 'Free Action' is different from the Cleric's Free Action. It merely protects you from Hold and Stun, IIRC, but not Web.

Erm... Free Action, in any version, does nothing to protect you from Imprisonment.

Free Action != Freedom

According to the sword's desription, it merely renders the user immune to Hold Person. No other spell, not even Stun, is mentioned, although there is another Short Sword that grants immunity to Stun.

There is NO item that confers immunity to Imprisonment, barring possible MOD items.

Heh, if it only were that easy! just using free action to counteract imprisonments... i can think of a few people in the game who would be a lot easier if that worded

Another question about Free Action, but it's about the cleric spell.

I cast FA on someone who was wearing the Boots of Speed and the little "hold person" sphere over her head. Now the Boots of Speed don't work. I've tried taking them on and off, and even restarting the game. Is there any way to reverse this bug?

It is not a bug. Free Action prevents Haste as well. This includes the Boots of Speed. Free Action prevent modification of the recipient's movement, be it be beneficial or negative.

I think my sword is bugged. (Mac side)

When holding said sword, I have never had a character webbed, stunned, held, greased, etc. I also can't get a character hasted or slowed holding the sword. I believe something is broken. In my games, it grants total free action, something I have taken advantage of. (Nothing like webbed enemies getting shanked in the back by a Mage/Thief, like Jan)
