...so I can't stay long! My eldest daughter is in Green Peace and they are doing a thing with Esso... I expect her to be arrested. She is terrbly exited by the whole thing - her first time as an activist! Though I guess sitting in a hot closed container is pretty boring if truth be told... Wish her luck, you guys - so long as you don't disapprove, of course!

Just caught the end of that protest on the news. She wasn't the one in the Tigger suit was she?

I really appreciate GP for what they do, although I sometimes can't really agree with the WAY they do it....sometimes diplomacy is just going to get you farther than rebelism(???)
I do donate monthly to them though, even with my meager student money

Best of luck to your daughter, F!! I will keep my fingers crossed!!!

Hope your daughter doesn't get into trouble for this. Just what was she protesting about anyway?

I would have no problem with Greenpeace if they werent so hysterical over every little bit, if I had a dog who urinated into a river I think they would protest it. Why arent they in Mexico getting arrested about the crap Mexican factories/farms/city sewage spewing out along our border? I'll tell you why, because Mexican jails suck. They want to protest in nice easy places where mommy and daddy can bail them out. While I applaud thier motives, they arent protesting the main polluters, just the convenient ones where they wont get in much trouble.
