It runs BG2 fine though.

Quantex - PII 350MHz, 64Mb RAM, 10.2Gb Hard drive, DVD-ROM, Voodoo 2, Aureal 3D sound, Altec Lansing speakers with Subwoofer (so the neighbours can hear), 56K modem. Think that's it.

I went on a spending spree at the weekend and bought myself:
Abit Raid Socket A Motherboard
Athlon 1.1Gb processor (these two together were cheaper than a decent PIII)
and 256Mb RAM
I also want to get an AGP graphics card, but don't know which one. Any recommendations? Much as I'd like to, I can't spend £400 on the really whizzy ones.
Time to take the back off...
I will use the parts I take out to beef up our 2nd PC which is used for wordprocessing - essay writing (it's a 386 with 2Mb RAM!! that we've had for 10 years and does its job OK - but will soon be able to do a bit more!)
