who is a good crew? i have Kivan (level 7 with plate +1 or2, +2 composite bow, acid, detonating and piercing arrows, and weapon expertise gaunts) and he has 50% of the kills, i am a ranger with the spiders bane and loads of other stuff, (AC-3 withbane, -5 with kondar), branwen with +2 chainmail and some rings and stuff, Jaheira with some stuff, and Imoen dualled with invoker (level 4 thief, level 6 invoker), and then a cleric/illusioniust pack horse. i have most of the things on some of the item lists. i would like to get rid of my pack horse and one other guy, but i need good people to pick up, but minsc and dynaheir are only level 3 or 4.
and with drizzt, i have attacked about 110 time now and i can't beat him, he is immune to everything but a good old fashioned ass woopin, but i can rarely ever hit him. Any help on either topic would be great. thanx |

Khalid is relatively decent (although to only have Jaheira in your party I'm assuming you had Khalid killed). Also Coran (in the Cloakwood forest) is a very valuable fighter/thief (he has 20 dexterity, very nifty). Also, Adjantis the Paladin (farming map just above the Friendly Arm Inn, full of Ankhegs) is a pretty good fighter as well.
Yeah, Drizzt is one hell of a tough cookie. You might want to try pick-pocketing him instead. Use a potion of master thievery if you pick pocket skills arn't up to scratch (and remove your thief's armour while you do it in order to negate the armour penalty to pick-pocketing). Although in pick-pocketing him you only get his +3 Scimitar (you can't get his other sword or his armour), but it's better than nothing and makes for an excellent weapon for Jaheira to wield (being a druid scimitars are the only swords she can use). |

If you pick-pocket Drizzt, does he still have his weapons to fight you with? If so, can you kill him and have doubles?

I have a way you can kill him, no matter your party's level and weapon/items. Talk to him, attack him, talk to him, attack him. Swing once (or hit him with something ONCE), and then talk to him. Keep doing this and he will die before he even goes hostile. I killed him with a level 4 group, and he wasn't that hard with this tactic.

If you pickpocket him then fight him, then the computer will still think that he is armed but I don't think you get double weapons.
