On July 22 ABC News ran a story about Kim Ogden, who claims she can communicate with animals.

Now I would find this easier to swallow if she could watch an animal's movements or the tone of the sounds it makes and figure out what the animal was feeling.

But, no!!!

She claims she can actually "hear" them and know what they are feeling or thinking. Anyone ever hear of Dr. Doolittle?

So is this woman nuts or not? I think she is...what do YOU think?

Here is a link to the story:

I think she's fully of hooey!

I am a great student of animal behavior and have often been jokingly, yet half-seriously, called the reincarnation of St. Francis of Assisi (sp?) because I can WATCH an animal and have a relatively good idea what is going on in it's head and can make 'friends' with almost any animal.

But to say you are actually truly telepathic with an animal....I'm HIGHLY skeptical. I like to keep an open mind about everything in life and so would never just completely dismiss the possibility of such a thing occurring, but I just can't buy this story.

I saw a similar person's tv show, one of Animal Planets highest rated. It was hilarious as she was providing two tigers with some sex ed! Its amazing what info you can get out of a pet owner with clever questioning and lucky guesses.

Look, I love animals, but what this chick is saying is one big pile of stinking, fetid feces.

She must be a very good actress who excels at the art of improvisation.

Well I'll tell ya, reading the article at ABC.com is no where near as freaky as actually seeing and hearing this woman when it first aired on TV!

Must have been a slow news day, I guess.

A few weeks ago I saw something on the news like this, probably same woman too. It was utterly ridiculous LOL. She "read" this lady's dog and it was the usual guessing game. "oh she misses you when you are away" "oh she likes that one special treat you like to give her", etc. Oh my says the dog owner, that's all true! I give her pupperonies for treats! "oh she really likes that little boy who comes to visit"... dog owner says "what little boy, we don't have any kids come visit" ... "oh well my powers aren't 100% accurate"... What shite!

I don't know about all animals, but speaking for myself, I have a connection with my dog that most people would think is crap. I know what he's thinking, and I know that he understands what I'm saying by the way he reacts. He can't talk, but body language speaks volumes! Perhaps he picks up on my body language too, but he does understand the way I feel and vice versa.

That's cool Animal That is different though than these pet psychics/psycos, who takes an animal she/he has never met before and claiming to be able to read its thoughts and opinions whilst sitting with it on a couch. I think a lot of us know our pet's feelings through body language and facial expressions. Only a pet owner knows that cats and dogs actually do have facial expressions, they are just more subtle than human's expressions, but when you live with a pet every day, you know them all LOL.

Actually, I'm not sure who the real wacko really is. Is it the woman who claims she can "Talk to the Animals" or is it the people who pay for her services?
