Has anyone got this already? If so can you offer some comments on whether it's worth getting?
Also, do you need University for this to work? I wasn't too keen on University (trying to forget my uni days of pissups and pub crawls ![]() |

Hey, Mems, sorry this doesn't answer your question at all, but I was just wondering if the Sims is worth getting... I keep seeing it in computer shops, and always wonder if it's worth the $40 or so.

It is in my opinion. But you need to have lots of time to kill, and you need to enjoy mundaneness.
![]() I can't play it at the moment as I have no time to kill. ![]() |

I'll second that the Sims 2 is a fun little strategy game that's extremely open-ended if you play with it as a toy, and very limited if you play through like a normal computer game.
I too would like to know if anyone's tried it out. I liked University though, Memnoch, at least for that extra dimension in character development and an extra layer of "There's got to be more than this neighborhood, right?"-ness. I've got to have other kinds of games - objective oriented games - to balance it out though. My creativity and interest dulls otherwise. After I've routed another band of Chaos Marines, rescued some hostages, or slain a few dragons, I'm ready to micromanage an entire community again. And some people wonder why we play computer games? ![]() |

Ugh, just got it today but I think I'll have to put it on the backburner until I get more RAM or something.

Just bumping this up for another question about expansions. If I've downloaded a lot of custom content (clothing, faces, etc) will they still work with these expansions?

They should do, but you may want to check the site you got them from to see if there is an updated version
