Wow I can't believe how addicting this game is. First when I started playing I almost shut it off and gave up as the graphics are poor and your initial ship sucks so if you can't make it to the nearest planet and a pirate wants your money you best hand it over. It does take a little time to build up money and buy upgrades for your ship. But once you get your ship upgraded somewhat and start completing missions it becomes highly addictive, you can even become a pirate yourself. I have not even played out a planetary battle yet, I don't even know how. have fought dominators to prevent them from taking over systems with other rangers. Just very busy exploring the galaxy and probing uninhabited planets.
