I used the Black Spider figurine on the undead and it could do no damage to the undead. Does anyone know by experience what summons monster that can do damage against the undead? Sometimes I'm just lazy to hack and slash, therefore I would like the option to let some other summons monsters do the work for me while I go invisible watching the battle. Thanks for your replies.

What kind of Undead are you referring to? Skeletons, Zombies, Mummies, Vampires, Liches, Ghouls, Ghasts... Lots of these have different resistances/immunities and other powers.
Skeleton Warriors, from the Raise Undead spell if the caster is above 15th level, usually work well. They attack with a Twohandsword +1, so they can hit monsters that are immune to normal weapons (lots of Undead are - it seems to me that this is your problem), and they have good magic resistance and are immune to charm/domination spells. |

quote: Spider Spawn is cool The spiders get stronger and stronger as you level up. Sword Spiders when your mage hits level 12. Oh , Summon Undead (5th level) the one that raises skeletons for yo ? Those skeletons turn into skeletal warriors at level 15, very powerful. Forgot the name of the spell but clerics have it as a level 3 and wizards as a level 5 spell.

FIRE ELEMENTALS!
They are immune to +1 and worse weapons, so most undead can't touch them -- including Skeletal Warriors. Undead which can't touch Fire Elementals: + Skeletons, Skeletal Warriors + Zombies, Ghouls, Greater Ghouls, Ghasts, Lacedons + Shadows, Shadow Fiends + Mummies, Greater Mummies + Vampiric Mists, Poison Mists, Wandering Horrors Undead which can touch (and severely hurt) Fire Elementals: + Vampires, Vampyres + Wraiths, Devil Shades, Death Shades + Ghoul Lords ... so if you send your Fire Elemental into a bunch of shadows with a couple of wraiths, be sure to take out the wraiths fast with your archers / spellcasters. Fire Elemental are one of the best reasons to have a Druid in your party! -- Nifft |
