trang rapax quest help

can anybody help me in finding the rapax assasin in m.b. and the idols of marten too. do i have to get to the restricted area in the lower marten's bluff.i have the rapax perfume.

To find the rapax assasin, return to upper martins bluff [via the elevator], open the glass door that leads towards the swamp road, deploy the 'dummy', use the perfume on it, and the rapax will appear.

Close both doors in the elevator chamber, and activate the sliding walls mechanism. Rappax will be crushed. Dummy is deployed, doors and walls opperated by levers in the immeadiate area.

If you have a samurai, save before doing this: the assasin often drops the Bushido blade, one of the finest samurai [and ninja, I think] weapons in the game.

To find the idol, procede through lower Martins Bluff to the room guarded by the trang assasin who warns you to turn back. Get the items [including book of crush] from this room: you can just barely reach it without the trangs attacking.

Once you have it, hit the combat button, and use the 'run' command to run past the trang into the door they are guarding, go down the hall as fas as possible. Combat should end with you far enough down the hall to avoid combat: they will still be neutral towards you. DO NOT use any spells on them, do not stand still long enough for them to attack. Its a good idea to save just before trying this, in case something goes wrong.

Once past the guards, proceed down the hall, open door, and enter the room where young trang are teleporting in from the mothership. Wait for one of them to approach the far door in the room, then run through behind it.

You will find your self in a hall with three options: forward will take you to a very useful teleporter [best spot in the game to set a portal spell-- four locations for the price of a single spell], though you'll need to repair it with a found item to get any real use of it. Right will take you to a lever that opens the iron door in the ground behind the fortress, left will take you to an area with many nice items and a lever that opens a door in the courtyard near the elevator room, which allows access to the idol-- this is the only way to get to it. There are 2 ways to exit this area: one [stairs running down] will take you to a different part of lower MB, where you get even more nice items, one of which allows access Zant and the elevator room if you use it in the right spot. The other option is to fall through the floor into the moat: not reccomended if you've been having trouble with the alligators.

Did you find the 'secret' entrance in (upper) Martens Bluff?
I always clicked at the wrong place for a long time.

and the idols of marten too. do i have to get to the restricted area in the lower marten's bluff.

The trick that Orobis tells works well.
But the 'normal' route to find the idol is through the mine tunnels.
