The battle in the cellar of the Cult Building

I tried many times to end the battle with a single casting of cloudkill, but Dynaheir was always getting held and deathgazed and I was determined to win the battel without loosing a single char. So finally the following strategy worked:
my fighter (level 8) wielding SpiderBane wearing FullPlate, ring of prot+2, helm and cloak of balduran and boots of speed drinks potion of power and potion of cloud giant strength (23), Imoen casts Haste and Bramwen casts bless, chant and defensive harmony. Down he goes. Make sure to pause when the target is destroyed. Kill all the cult guards and the woman, ignore the demon for now. by the end of that my fighter was DeathGazed, so I had to come up and dispel him with Bramwen. Then I switched to World's Edge (two-hander+3), quaffed potions of power, cloudgiant and haste and went down again. Then he just wacked the demon. Magic resistance form cloak of Balduran helps a lot, but make sure the cloak is off when you cast spells on him. I am starting to believe that at least in BG1 might supported by some magic is way stronger then magic alone.

Good job!
If I remember, I hid all my people, as far away as possible, used a wand of shape change on the little dudes, and turned them all into squirrels, shot arrows and bullets at the mage, and when they were all gone, just played a hit and run game until the beast fell.
