This just works. Good old Alan Rickman.
Chaotic Evil: The Sheriff of Nottingham in 'Robin Hood - Prince of Thieves'. Cruel, capricious, takes what he wants through any aims possible. Neutral Evil: Hans Gruber in 'Die Hard'. Ruthless, but not fond of endangering himself in the pursuit of his goals. Lawful Evil: Severus Snape in 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone'. Nasty, spiteful and mean, but with a certain code of conduct. Chaotic Neutral: Rasputin in 'Rasputin'. A mad monk who veers between holy piety and debauched impiety. True Neutral: Jamie in 'Truly, Madly, Deeply'. A man who comes back from the grave as a ghost to remain by his wife's side. A strong personality who does what he will do. Lawful Neutral: Colonel Brandon in 'Sense and Sensibility'. A stiff and formal man who believes in the strictures of society. Chaotic Good: Ed in 'January Man'. No real hero, but some guy who gets involved in a murder inquiry by his own whim. Neutral Good: Alexander Dane/Dr. Lazarus in 'Galaxy Quest'. A failed actor with a serious fear of typecasting and a few neuroses to boot, but a heart of gold. Lawful Good: The Metatron in 'Dogma'. The Voice of God, and an Angel of the highest order. Compassionate and understanding, albeit with a somewhat exasperated edge. Trust me: It works. Tancred

You know I always thought Irenicus sounded exactly like Alan Rickman in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. I thought it was really him until I found out it wasn't

Thats pretty funny. Actually though, I would put the sherrif of notingham at nuetral evil, because he does carry on the semblence of a srtuctured hierarchy for enforcing the law as he sees fit. Hes definitely evil, but I dont know if hes a full blown chaotic.
And I would put the mysterious Severous Snape, based on the movie and the books at Lawful Nuetral, because of strict adherence to rules and regulations above any altruistic consideration...remember...he hasnt really demonstrated that hes overtly evil...just agenda ridden and rigidly inflexible on rules. He did save harrys life at the quidditch match after all. |
