If you were a fan of the original, this will blow you away. The graphics are absolutely incredible, and the game is free. (ps. page won't load on my FireFox, try using IE instead)

Remake? I dusted off and played the original start to finish not two months ago. It was perfectly fine.

I actually tried to run XCOM 2 Terror from the Deep recently but was unsuccessful after trying DosBox and various settings. This looks like a suitable replacement.

There was a win95 compatable remake of the early XCOM games, which works fine under winXP, although the palette-cycling animations run far to fast.

According to the dosbox site, the original version should run fine under version 0.60 or later.

But this remake looks interesting. Shame its still in alpha.

And for the people that don't have the remake (which is available at fileplanet),There is an excellent fan-made patch that allows both the original Ufo and Terror from the Deep to run under XP.
