What's your favorite line? PC or NPC, doesn't matter. When I went back to the monastary, I happened to ask Burz about the Trynnie. "WE ARE THE CHOSEN ONES!...I'm not sure what we're chosen for, exactly, but if something comes along it doesn't hurt to say." It left me rolling! (and I adopted it for my sig)

What's yours?

When my Chaotic Lizardman Fighter sees a creature, he says one of the two following lines:

1) "We've got a customer!"
2) "I smell blood ... Lots of blood!" [excited voice]

My other favorite is when my Mook Ranger discovers an item laying on the ground (search skill).

1) "Hey, I must've dropped that."

This game is always surprising me. Love it.

When one of my male characters dies, my Felpurr Mage goes:

"Too bad... I think he had a crush on me!"

(And the only males I have are Lizardmen!!! EWWWW!)

Myles, when one of my girls dies, says rather speedily and greedily:

"poor kid. she asked me to take care of her things if this happened. you understand, don't you?"
.
.
.
Mysteria, my dwarven priestess, upon seeing Saffy (ironwork's nick for Swallower) and his cousins, stomping down a hill towards us at top speed:

"aawwww! lookie! critters!" (as tho they were a box of cute, fluffy kittens)
.
.
.
Vesselle, my valkyrie, when Myles has just blinded us for the third time with his girlie toss of Flash Powder:

"grrrrr. if you don't know how to use your weapons, then give them to me. NOW!"
.
.
.
or Aria, my southern belle faerie mage, after i forgot to pause the screen:

"what's the big hold up, sugah? ya doin' yoah nails?"
.
.
.
or picture this, my teensy little Aria, faerie mage, decides to use "Crush" the very first time on a higardi highwayman. she lets loose a HUGE boulder that crushes him to goo and says, in her inimitably stylish southern accent:

"Ohhhhh! Mah bad!"

....

this game is fun, smartly written, beautifully designed, great AI and emotionally captivating. in every tiny detail, their professionalism shines. i am so glad that they made this gem for us!

I have a couple that brought me up laughing:

My kitty monk smacks a baddie into gory chunks and remarks:

"Life is short, and I just made it *much* shorter".

My human ninja, during a massive battle with rattkin on the walkways, as some new ones arrive:

"Is there a machine making these things?"

Gotta love 'em!

Lots of fun and witty stuff in this game. In fact, I think that years down the road, *that's* what this game is going to be remembered for: It's personality.

Anyway, I love it when my eccentric, fairy, female priest gets an insta-kill with her impaling stones. Sometimes she'll say in a 'little 'ol me' kinda voice, "oooh, did I do that?"
The funny thing is that I called her Bjork and her picture (one of the fairy pics) actually does kinda looks like Bjork. And I would say that the eccentric personality fits just right!

I also dig Vi's spell casting chant. It sounds very "Latin with an Italian tinge" if you know what I mean. The other cool one is the eccentric fairy again: "SHUT-tau-balga-snagga"

In my last party, whenever I'd let them stand idle to see what they'd say, Acidafyre, my dracon male fighter would say, " You know, I do take requests. Hum, humm, hmmm, hmmm.."

Then up would speak Makala, mook ranger, "Ah silence. Words cannot express the poignant power of quiet reflection."

Lahlpril, my elven mage would say, "I really do look forward to these quiet times." And then Vi always said incisively, "What did you say?"

Now in my current party (second playthrough), whenever Paxtra, my elven lady bishop gets in the final shot she says in her nordic lilt, "Defeating the enemy is like milking a cow.. it's all in the rhythm." LOL!!!

I like RFS-81 when we enter combat and he is the one to declare it. The first time I heard "RFS-81 entering practice mode" I laughed outright. The other line I really like is actually a spoiler.

When in the cosmic circle and when your characters are congratulating themselves for defeating the Dark Savant my Intellectual Wizard Said "By the Gods... Wait a moment, We are the Gods, Give me that Pen." I thought that was just about the single funniest line I heard.

I have to agree with the RFS-81 line of "Entering Practice Mode". Just heard that last night and it cracked me up.

My other favorite is my kindly human bishop when she gets affected by poison, disease, or any other bad condition. "This hurts worse than when the tell you they still love their wives." Something about this being said in a Southern Accent just gets me every time.

Masked Frog just posted mine. My female bard who has a southern accent got poisoned and said the same thing. It caught me totally off guard. Hilarious

Also, when my lizardman fighter gets a terror spell cast on him, he asked likes a little school girl and whimpers for a very long time.
