I am using JASC Paint shop Pro Ver 5, and I keep getting an error when I try to make an overland map that says "Bogus params to BlitImage" when I try to load a overland picture. Now, any other art, and I mean ANY other art works fine, so I was wondering what I'm doing wrong??? I'll be happy to send you the images if you want them so you can see whats up.

Also, I was looking around at the latest version of your (VERY IMPRESSIVE) program and I saw the "Custom Area View Art" button on the wall selction screen. Is that for using a picture that you map on??? (like a picture of a scroll that holds the map)

And, Lastly but not leastly, I had an idea for a new Event. A Multiple-password event, such that you could go to some NPC and ask him about different things (as in different passwords) and if the typed word is found then it goes to the corresponding event or text (kinda like how a question button event handles multiple answers).

As always, You DA-MAN!!!

Hiya,

I'm using v6 of paintshop pro and had exactly the same problem, what i did in the end, was, cut my new overland map into the existing ovl_overland.jpg, and this seems to have fixed the problem, im sure there is a valid reason why the error is displayed, but this works for me.

i also had this very problem myself once upon a time. it has to do with the size of the pic being used. it was really simple- like both dimensions must be even numbers.

i'll do some looking...i know i wrote it down somewhere

I use Paintshop pro 7 (with update) and haven't come across this problem.

If you still have the overland image that does not work, I would like to get a copy of it and test it if you don't mind sharing the file.

The image should be a multiple of 16 pixels in width/height.

I think I answered the password and area view art questions in another post, but let me know if I got it wrong.
