New Show for Inventors

This show is a great idea. The contestants create a new invention and the best creation wins a year on the home shopping network. I wonder what kind of stuff will be made and if anyone will end up picking up the inventions of the guy that gets second place.

Any ideas for inventions?

hrm inventions that would be nice:
They say that hurricanes are made because of differences in temperature between the air and the water or something like that right?
So invent a device that harnesses the power of a hurricane to produce a cooling effect on the ocean great enough to stop the hurricane.

the people in the gulf coast sure could use that right now. I haven't had a science class in ages,would cooling the ocean have any negative effects?

i think the inventions on the show might be on a smaller scale, but hopefully something equally as cool as a hurrican stopper [img]smile.gif[/img]

if you invent one of those, can i borrow some money?

Well, guys at the beach would have to deal with "shrinkage".

Inventions I'd like to see:
--Negative-calorie potato chips. The more you eat, the more weight you lose. Causing severe diarrhea or vomiting doesn't count. Actually, negative-calorie versions of all foods that taste good, like steaks, burgers, fries, chocolate, ice cream, etc.
--Star Trek Transporters. Who needs gasoline when you don't commute by car?
--a waterproof stick-on decal that functions as a wristwatch. Maybe they'd come in 6-packs like disposable contact lenses.


Ideas I've had that other people have made money on. I can't prove any of these, but I promise I thought of them long before I ever saw them used:
--pagers in restaurants.
--spinning hubcaps.
--a GPS map of a golf course mounted on the cart.
--contact lenses in funny colors, like black/white checkerboard, or cat's eye shaped.

They fiddled around with weather control for a long time. It yielded some results I believe.

But let me say this. Some things should be left untouched. Regardless of the death and damage, we would be better off not fooling around with weather control.

And yes, a massive cooling of the ocean would have devastating effects on the environment.

Has anyone been watching the US open? I've seen so many ads for Made in the USA, the show looks pretty solid

Secret master, who did you hear fiddled around with weather control? I think i read some stuff that the russians had made some advancements.
