Welcome to Ironworks, Duncan! I'm moving this to the Baldur's Gate forum where I think you'll get lots of help!

It may be that you do not have BG with the expansion Tales of the Sword Coast.

Welcome aboard there DuncanMacWhalen...Pritchke is right without TOSC then you can look all day and not find either Durlag's Tower or Ungolth's Beard.

Duncan - don't open that e-mail!!! At least, not yet... (sheesh - a full walk-through when the guy just wants to know how to get there? settle down, Beavis... )

Durlag's Tower (as well as Ulgoth's Beard) is available only if you have the Tales of the Sword Coast expansion to Baldur's Gate (I believe they are sold as a package now, although you might still be able to find TotSC as a separate expansion game). They mention the Tower in the regular Baldur's Gate game, but you can't get there w/o the expansion. Once you buy the expansion game, it's kind of between Beregost & the Firewine Bridge. It's tough & made for higher level characters, so be careful. Try it out without the walk-through first to get the most enjoyment out of it.

theres a few ways baldurs is sold now

- baldurs gate as a budget title in a white box with yellow cant remember which company, sold cheaply normally.

- baldurs gate with swordcoast normally quite cheap again barely more than the above one

- special edition boxed, seen this about, got it all and looks expensive comparatively

- joint set with bg2 but quite expensive again

not sure you can get totsc seperately though now.
