If you are in the Stout Mines simply click on the cart and your party will hang on.
Before I noticed this I was wondering why the heck they would put carts in the game that just fly out from underneath you. |

I am sure he means the jumping puzzle over the poisoned lich water. I just had the same experience of always falling off. Just swum to the other side up the ladder, healed myself, and swam back. Have no other idea how to pull it off.

Yup, I swam it too. But I found out you can get there a different way later (actually found it just this evening : )
In the place where you cross a bridge and it drops into the water, if you take one of the underwater tunnels on the right you can eventually find a sort of hidden wall that opens up to the chest (on the other side of the poisoned water). |

Having been through Skull Castle before, I knew I could get to that chest beyond the poisoned water from another route (via the room with the key to the Lich, I believe). I had the very clever idea that I would carry a chest all the way down to the secret door that opens and gives you access to the chest and use it to block the secret door from closing. NO JOY! Dratted secret door just smashed down through the chest and closed.
Has anyone ever noticed when you are looting chests that in the very bottom of the chests you can see a bit of the floor, or sand or whatever the terrain you happen to be on? This means that all these chests have holes in the bottom which leads me to the question: Why can't we just turn them over and take everything out the bottom and forget about the traps and locks???
