Have mages cast Immunity: Imprisonment on themselves and attack the demilich themselves.

Protection from Magic scrolls also work well here. Combined with a fighter, or maybe a certain fighter/druid proficient with quarterstaves, wielding the Staff of the Ram +6 and Greater Whirlwind attack, it should fall quickly.

If you have no qualms towards it, you could also turn into the Slayer... The Slayer is immune to imprisonment.

Once I tried the most laborious way. No SI, no Slayer, no Green scroll, and no that demi-lich instant-kill spell.

Plenty of summons, couple of Simulacra from Edwin and Imoen and, most importantly, a Short Sword of the Mask weilding Mazzy. I sent Mazzy in to lure the floating skull out, and then everyone was out of its sight except for summons, Mazzy and the two simulacra. Mazzy feircely attacked, level drained, and tangled the skull...actually when it fell, there were couple of summons left not being imprisoned. This is one of my most memorable battles playing BG series since not a single conventional demi-lich killing tactics was used, and plenty of luck

???? huh?

so you went to the Demi-Lich in WK while you're still in SoA, and you couldn't beat it? Did you go to find the Demi-Lich in SoA (not in WK) and beat that one? If you can handle that one, I don't see how can you not able to handle the WK one~~

The one in watchers keep is much harder and of a higher level, I have found that the demi lich in SOA has only 2 imprisonment spells which he uses later in the battle there for it gives you some time to conjure up things for him to waste them on and then wail away with koragan or who ever your tank is. As for TOB WK the demi lich has unlimited imprisonments and uses them as soon as you enter the room rendering it nearly impossible to cast and type of spell.

BUt I did find away to beat him, when he cast his imprisonment have your character run out of the room before the beam (which you can see) hits him or her. The lich will follow and just have your whole party supped up and waiting for him at the entrance and just keep hitting him. But you have to be fast so he doesnt cast any spells.

Dar'tanian, that sounds like a Lich you're describing. Demi-Liches are much more dangerous. The ToB Demilich (in WK) can be said to be more deadly than his SoA counterpart because he is immune to instant death: Weapons of Disruption cannot vaporize him the way they can most Undead critters.

Question Mark

Spell Immunity: Abjuration, Haste, and Melf's Minute Meteors. Simple.

Ehhh...just encountered him for the first time 10 minutes ago. No long fight, got Inprisoned in 2 seconds. So I changed tactics. I got a Protection from Undead on my Ranger/Cleric and hasted her and went in alone. This time it was easy! He was down in seconds. One thing I found weird was that it appeared to be immune to Mace of Disruption's "Destroy Undeath" ability, as it said "undeath destroyed" on the screen and he was still floating around, still quite undead. Has anyone experienced this as well?

Edit: aha, Sixofspades beat me to it!

I thought the Demi-Lich in SOA was harder because you had to take the whole party along, thus making them more vunerable to Imprisonment
