OK I've been playing BGII since it came out,I've tried to complete the Romances that everyone is talking about but to no avail. Something always goes wrong. Probably me. Anyway, what benefit does one recieve for completeing a romance sequence, outside of more in depth story line? Just wondering, Is there a guide out there on the right actions to take? I always try for Jaheria but no luck. Maybe she does'nt like Irishmen....

Jaheira's romance is riddled with bugs.
Romances are just meant to add depth to the game, so you can further immerse yourself in its greatness. They dont really add any quests (Jaheira's quest adds to her romance, so they go hand-in-hand i believe). Generally just choose the nice, complimentary options when talking to Anomen, Aerie, Jaheira; with Viconia you want to act like a Drow would

There is also a Jaheria romance patch you can get that fixes many of the bugs and provides CLUAConsole commands you can use to bypass buggy lovetalks. I don't have the site I found it bookmarked but I believe it's called FixedJaheriaRomance or similar - search for it [img]smile.gif[/img] .

I had a great romance with aerie.really enjoyed her company till it ended up in a one night stand .then she suddenly realized that it was going to fast for her .So she dumped me.
I was totally heartbroken didn't sleep for a week,booohooo |

To say the Jahiera romance is riddled with bugs is like saying the Dead Sea is salty.
And the Viconia romance does give you a nifty item or two. But you have to work for it.

I can never complete the Viconia romance because I don't know which dialogue is best. Don't act like a drow: she won't respect you. Act like a drow: she'll think you're mean.
