Sanchuudoku... x2! What's up with that?

So i killed kuroisan (and figured out how to spell his name) and got myself a tasty bit of kara-turan steel for my troubles. There's been a bit of discussion over the cheeziness of this blade and i can see why. But that's beside the point.

Several days later, i'm walkin' through the bridge district and get bailed up by Kuroisan back from the dead. He said something about revenge (no pop-up dialogue box) and promptly started killin' me again. Another battle ensued, this time even more hectic than the first. When i finally killed him, i looted his body and found, much to my dissapointment, another Sanchuudoku.

What's up with that? I thought katanas were supposed to be the pinnacle of bladed weaponry. Magical katanas are so unique that to create two that are identical should be impossible.

I am assuming that this second encounter is not a bug and that the designer/s intended this to occur. If so, surely they could have made it so that he attacks you with a different katana. I mean, even he admitted that he collects them.

As for the cheese potential, i thought one blade was more than enough. The second is gathering dust in the Adventurer's mart.

i dont think that i can help you but just a question, i've heard about this weapon but never found it, is ot a tob blade cause i just have SoA, if it isn't, where can i find this kuroisan fellow?

It's the katana that Kuroisan wields. You need the tactics mod in order to face him. You can find it in several places but Weimer is a reliable place to get it and other cool mods.

So what's the verdict? Is fighting a second battle with Kuroisan (and winning a second Sanchuudoku) a normal occurrence or not?

Well in the game I'm playing right now Kuro showed up, and I killed him, and took his katana. It has now been about 20 game days since I first killed him an he hasn't reappeared.

It's a bug.

I've enocountered him twice now, and also got 2 Sanchuudoku katanas. I'm fairly certain this is not meant to happen, as when he appeared the second time, he said some mumbo jumbo about lets continue with this dance (which is exactly what he says when he reappears 1 day after your last encounter if you didn't manage to kill him in time). It's almost as if the flag does not get set after you have slain him, and he appears once more.

It does seem to be a common bug in the game generally.

I'm thinking of the lesser clay golems in jonny's house for a start...

I see. Wouldn't it be cool if he did appear again weilding some different enchanted katana!
