Okay, im probably a dumbass, but how do you kill a magic golem. I've hit it with magic to no effect and with every type of weapon(all +3 or higher)I have and still nothing. The only thing i've done to damage it was a horn of blasting did a whole 5 points of damage. Help me

Magic Golems can only be damaged with NON-MAGICAL weapons. I too had this problem until I read Elminsters Appendage: Magical Creatures

I've got to admit it's getting better, it's getting better all the time

This applies to magic elementals as well.

Oh my god! They can only be damaged by non-magical weapons? I don't have any so late in the game. I don't understand how are you supposed to come up with that.

Most encounters with magical golems/elementals are close to areas where you can get normal weapons. (i.e. fallen enemies (not everyone has a magic sword!)or perhaps nearby closet/storage device. Look carefully.)

I have encountered magic Golems twice in my journeys, so far...and both times, the creators of the game purposely placed a normal weapon close to their encounters. It will only take one of your characters to beat up on it.

Once you start hitting them for real damage, they turn cowardly and hide in the corner while you beat them like a red-headed step-child!!

Yeah, Larry's not kidding. I dual wielded two normal longswords and single handedly took out the magical enemies that were there. They can't take much punishment. And boy, does it feel good to kill 'em after they make you go through the trouble of disarming your good stuff

Here is a simple solution to not having non-magical weapons when fighting magic golems(possible spoiler)

All I did was unequip all of my weapons and pummel them with my fists(My monk however was not very effective due to his +3 fists). When they were KO'd I used my weakest summon spell and sent war dogs to finish them off.
