Ranger Stealth

ok I have been clueless on this for some time... what are the restrictions in order to use stealth as a ranger?

Leather armour at most. Shadow dragon scale is the best hide in shadows armour that can be found in SoA. Btw rangers cant backstab except stalkers and even then its not that great. The only reason you would use a ranger is if your thief is hopeless

rangers are good at stealth - Minsc is plenty good enough for dark situations as soon as (if) you pick him up

a ranger & thief combination with your ranger doing the stealth and your thief doing the trap detecting is a good one

If you have ToB there are a few other leather armour(s) or magical chainmail which doesn't stop you using stealth and gives a better AC, but you'll have to find them yourself

Every new game I get I nearly always play an elven ranger duel weilding with stealth, very powerful if used correctly.

thinking about it i like the way the ranger kits reward the role playing ranger's armour of choice - if you're going to use your ranger in stealth with leather armour anyway there's pretty much no penalty to being a stalker for example

The best armour for hiding in shadows is (if you have ToB) the White Dragon Scale which gives you -2 ot AC and 50% resistance to Cold.

Well i think so. Here are the stats for it:

+50% Resistance to Cold
Cast Cone of Cold 3 times/day

Armor Class: -2
Weight: 15
Requires: 8 Strength
Not Usable By:
Mage
