WARNING NO. 2: MAJOR WATCHERS KEEP SPOILER:
.
.
.
.
Alright, so I sealed the beast with the scroll (with myself inside), then agreed to help it in order to get out of the prison. Then, being an honest ranger, I tell the Helmists about the trick and, sure, they feel suitably bad about it while I get 10,000 quest experience (in addition to the 60,000 quest experience for sealing prison in the first place, for a total of 70,000). BUT, if I had done the same thing, lied to Brother Orden (letting him go inside and die) and then sealed WK with the second, "real" scroll received from the apparition, I would have gained a total of 145,000 quest experience (60k + 60k +25k). Where's the justice in that??? (I admit reloading to check out the various scenarios)

Just kill demobaboon. Most experience that way.

If you feel too bad about lying to the knights, well, they did trick you so even a good character shouldn't have any trouble about tricking them, certainly if you know what that apperition is going to say.

Damn, i just realised something. Last time i played WK, i did it with a paladin. I should have tried using my detect evil ability and see if they detect as evil or not.

The justice lies with Odren, dead on the cold stone floor, where he belongs for trying to trick you into imprisoning yourself forever.

Being nice to Odren is the Lawful way, paying him back for betraying you is the Chaoticway. Now, as a Ranger, you could be any shade of Good, but one thing's for damn sure: Odren, as a Priest of Helm, is almost guaranteed to be Lawful, and it would be a sin for him to lie to, or mislead, anybody. Even a Bhaalspawn.

I LIKE the way you think! In fact, I think that there is a dialogue option which causes Odren to enter the dungeon without me having to lie to him at all. It's something like "What else didn't you tell me?". After that, I can seal the sucker and move on. Although there really shouldn't be a need to seal the dungeon _again_, who am I to refuse another 60,000 experience per?

Chaotic good triumphs again!

"The ritual is Odren's. With his death, the seals will be broken and the creature will be loosed. To prevent this, I give to you this Ritual Scroll, this one made by Helm himself. When invoked, it will restore all the seals to their full strength, and you do not need to enter Demogorgon's lair to read it. Use it, god-child, or do not....the choice is yours."

Thanks, Six (as usual). I am duly shamed into reading the dialogue more closely (I was working from memory - how the heck did you remember that? Please tell me you checked!)

IIRC there is a topic on the SOA forum about this and someone said that you get the most experience sealing both of them in. I dont know, it may have been on a guide but im pretty sure it is right...

My hat's off to you then, Six. By the way, having experimented with the WK finale, I finally understand the reference in chapter 13 of your guide to the immunity to time stop. Imoen was the only one left standing (and not for long).

Well, I'm off to dispense chaotic justice to Odren. Thanks for your input.
