Just a little point on the tactics of the game, dont get me wrong i love the game however not being a AD&D player i dont know all the different spells which are good, but on any of the hardish guys the same tactic worked everytime. Get your cleric and mage to cast animal summoning a few times which surrounds the target - then simply blast with spells and arrows. It worked all through the game for me if i was stuck. Just thought they might of improved the AI to attack the party rather than the weak animals around it. What thought have you guys on this?

Thanks Again

K, good tatic, though some consider it "cheating". If u try to face the famous Drizzt, use these, along with wands, and it's a sinch. If u haste them, holy crap, lets just say, monsters on steriods...

I wasted the doomsayer with 5 summoned skeletons. It was a riot to see him go after Ajantis who was running around in circles while the skeletons got their licks in.

Just to tell u guys, u can kill the doomsayer easily if u have dispel magic. Cast it on him, and he looks soooooo funny. He can barely hit u, and u pound at him, the tables have turned!!!!!!!1

yeah ive found dispel magic to be a big monster killer, most of the time they are just an immobile target after casting it

I love Dispel Magic. All the toughest enemies do things like Invisibility, Minor Globe, Mirror Image, Ghost Armor, Protection from Normal, Blur, Haste....meanwhile Imoen, who's been in Steath this whole time, watching them cast all this, steps just out of their line of sight and Dispels everything. "Now don't you feel silly!" Then my archers step up and I'm collecting loot before I know it.

They did improve the AI a bit with ToSC--now, if you harm someone from outside his field of vision, he will move forward to attack you. This removes the El Cheapo strategy of repeatedly Fireballing the area right in front of them, to kill groups of enemies without taking a scratch.
