I've played part of it...
My classes are taking up most of my time right now though. |

Most of the discussion on the BGT forum is centered around bugfixes rather than gameplay, but I know at least one person has started a kensai, havent heard anything about it being impossible. One assasin did manage to die before ending the prologue, slight bug with the combat training.
Wont be able to run it myself for another week yet.

I've been playing the BGT for a week now. There are many bugs still in them, but they'll be fixed.
As for gameplay. Man, it is one tough cookie. If you encounter some baddies that are slightly above normal you'll almost certainly die. I played an inquisitor paladin from the start. Immunity to hold & charm is way too powerful at this early stage + dispel magic and true seeing make you nigh unstopppable. A solo sorcerer is nice, but very tough from the beginning. You run out of spells so fast. Rangers and beastmasters RULE. Summon an animal and laugh at your foes. A solo F/M/T is also very doable from the start on. Magical armor + backstab. Managed to raise 3 levels (each class) just by killing Anhkegs!! Its just that. A solo no-reloads game is nearly impossible. One tim I traveled from one city to the next and was waylaid. 9 (!!) Archer bandits surrounded me and within 2 seconds I was dead meat!! Could't even escape!

Hey I just got mine working last night. It's really sweet. I started an assassin off the bat. The poison weapon ability has come in handy a couple times so far.

What? Nobody bragging about the awesome power of their Level 1 Monk?

Here's one of my quotes from another thread: Monk: Ouch. They are already weak at the beginning of BG2. But starting one at first level? Good challenge, and all that more satisfying when you get to ToB, knowing what you went through to get there. That's definitely one of the hardest classes to start with, if not the hardest. Probably the best would include Barbarian, Inquisitor, Archer and Totemic Druid. I'll find out after I finish my current "knight" party that I am playing through BG2.
