Hi!

I'm currently stuck on the 3rd or 4th sub level of Durlag's Tower - the one after the one with the chessboard.
I've talked to the 'shade' of Durlag, talked to the guardian, answered his question, appeared in a circular room, answered the question, appeared back, 'examined' the funeral bier of a dwarf, appeared in another cirular room, answered another question. I've explored the caverns, found the door that needs a special ward stone (can't get through this one - don't know where the ward stone is). I also talked with Durlag's mother, refused to leave. I've also found the machine that needs the bone wand (or whatever it's called) - can't find the bone wand. Also there's a secret door in the same room as Durlag's mother, but I can't seem to unpick/unlock this door (it outlines in red like any other secret door).

I'm stuck. Has anyone got any ideas?

Cheers.

- Go to the corridor that leads to the room where durlags wife is (i think shes his wife, not mother, though i havent played DT for a while), and there is a secret door that leads to a big green area with rivers of acid. Explore it VERY WELL (there are lots of hidden doors) till find someone special that will give you a wardstone.

If you need further help, ask

If this is the room with the mother/wife shade in it, with the secret door to the south: I've found it. Unfortunately I can't get the scret door open! Can't seem to pick it.

That isn't the door he's talking about. The door you referenced will open automatically after you talk with shade Durlog once you've finished !everything! else on this level. The secret door to the "river of green acid" room is in the hall between Durlog and his wife. However, I gather from your initial post that you've already found it. Thus I have two things for you. First, there is a secret door in the room with Durlog's wife on the west side (not the one to the south). You have to go in there and answer a question. If you've already done that - go back into the green acid river room and make sure you have found ALL the secret doors and explored. The bone wardstone is in there somewhere - I'm sorry I can't remember exactly where it is. A map of this level can be found at

If you can't get this link to work just type it in. I tried to click on it and go no where. Good luck.
