1. Soo..Is it possible to reach the xp limit in SoA with full 6 party without cheating?

2. Whom would you take to the following party...? I´m intending on finishing this with two npc´s - A pure fighter (GM in long swords) and our beloved Aerie.

I asked a similar question a little while ago. I think the general consensus was that even if you completed ALL of the side-quests, you probably could reach the cap with a full party, but definitely with less than a full party.

1. I imagine it's possible just really hard. I mean you can always get waylaid it just doesn't give you much xp

2. I'm a little confused is the fighter a npc already in the game? one your making in multiplayer or your pc? Just jugding by Aerie i imagine your a good party. i might take keldorn, maybe minsc, Jahiera, mazzy or some combination of them depending if you want healing, to use a certain weapon, an archer or a hamster
jan if you want a thief who levels, imoen when you can get her

Sorry, I was being confusing. It´s my pc, and I started the game awhile ago with Immy, whos just helping to survive the Dungeon. When I get to the city I´ll be going to get Aerie immediately, and now Im only asking your opinions which second NPC you would take to create a balanced party. Maybe Yoshimo.. or Keldorn..

EDIT: Typos. In fact, a lot of them.

You have a Cleric, a Mage, and a Tank. If you want another party member, your best off with a secondary Mage or Cleric, and a potentially high-level thief. That makes Jan a must. You *could* go with Nalia and boot her for Imoen, but neither of them levels as a thief. You *could* go with Yoshi, but he is a thief only. You *could* go with Viconia or Edwin, but then you`re without a thief. Jan is the only single NPC who satisfies both requirements.
Little hint for using Jan properly... only one, maybe two, of your thief skills realy matter, because the Mage part of him will serve for atleast two of the other skills. Three if you`re willing to sacrifice a tiny bit of XP that you`ll get anyway...

I might take keldorn too. that will give you two mages, two tanks, the only thief worth taking.
I'd have the pc dual wield(something along the lines of hammers and flails or flails and katanas), have aerie use maces or quaterstaves(or both), jan short swords and crossbows and keldorn two handed swords. Gives you a good mix and some nice weapons

It is possible to reach the XP limit with a party of six. I have reached it. Nevertheless, I think it is impossible to lose a promotion due to the XP limit with a party of six. In the other words, the XP cap remover is useless with such party.

OK I got a party of 6 and I am curently in chapter 6 and I have already gone past the xp cap limit. Fortunatly I have got Throne of Bhaal so I carry on gaining level and have access to the High Level stuff like Whirl Wind attack and Summon Diva. So yes it is definatly possible to get to the Shadows of Amn XP cap with a party of 6, there is more than enough XP in the game to reach it.

I graduated a party to ToB last week with all 6 about 1,000,000 over the SoA XP cap. didn't even notice untill I tried summoning in a new NPC for ToB and saw their XP get bumped, then checked everyone else's (and gaining HLA's didn't tip me off, doh).
