I'm unfamiliar with AD&D 2nd ed rules (or many others for that matter...) Why is my invoker gaining special abilities? I've noticed several other characters gaining spell-like abilities... Why so?

So far I can use Larloch's drain, slow poison, ghould touch, draw upon holy might... Any others coming?

Do you get these after a dream. This is part of the plot. You get these ablities because of who you are in the story line. I played a thief and I also did get some of these ablities. Mine were a little different I think it must be a random choice.

You get an ability in each chapter except the first one. The abilities you gain depend on your reputation... SPOILER:

These are not class-related abilities. These have to do with your "mysterious heritage." You'll see what I mean when you get there.
