i am informed by the paladin leader to go to umar hills and find the besieged paladins and i am to help them but i cannot find them there can ne1 help

Go to... left from village, there you will meet one paladin who will lead you to the combat area. Area itself is near the Umar cave. There are couple of ettins, ogre mages, few orcs, but nothing what a sturdy paladin cannot handle .

You shouldn't have to go anywhere. A runner should meet you as soon as you reach the map. If he is not there, you are probably too late. You can't screw around on this quest. As they stated at the outset,"You must hurry". I suggest a reload.

BTW, that is exactly what happened to me the 1st time. I tried to take care of a few things on the way...too late.
