....the Brimloch roon
I finished the dragonspire first before I did the boogre cave bit so I went back to the Ishad N'ha gates and prepared my teleporation spell after I did the 'create portal' spell outside of the Brimloch gates (took my horse there) 1st warrior: hoo-hah! all right! let's go to the ship at brimloch roon! 2nd warrior: hey wiz! do your stuff! warlock: all righty! here we go... *casts a spell of teleport* *the spell fails* warlock: uhhhh... *casts a spell of teleport* *the spell fails* 1st warrior: what's up? warlock: nothing...nothing... only got 4 charges left... one of them bound to work.... *casts a spell of teleport* *the spell fails* warlock: $#!^!!!  *casts a spell of teleport* *the spell fails* 2nd warrior: oh come on! it worked before!!! warlock: I know! I know!  1st warrior: only 2 more charges left... warlock:  *casts a spell of teleportat* *the spell fails* warlock:  *casts a spell of teleport* *the spell fails* warlock:  2nd warrior: don't tell me that we have to the spire again 1st warrior sighs: looks like it... let's go... *later at the dragonspire walls* 1st warrior turns to assasin: well? you think you can climb these walls? assasin: you GOT to be kidding! 2nd warrior: look! here's Torin again! hey torin! wanna help out? here's my idea... *later at the spire cave* assasin to 2nd warrior: TOLD you that using Torin to stand on is a bad idea... 2nd warrior: shattup! *much later, at the dragon's room. the crew is facing the dragon's rear end* 1st warrior: I'm telling you! it's 'Elseramavin'! dammit! dragon: the marvin sword, the blade forged of twin metals! 1st warrior: I know! I know!  I retrieved it from you! remember??? I just want those doors to open! pretty please? ok...let's try again... shoud... the sacred word.... mavin... 2nd warrior whispers to warlock: looks like the door's ain't gonna open... warlock: let's see if I could do this again.. *casts a spell of teleport* *the spell fails* warlock sighs.... |

The spells Create Portal/Teleport should work in this part of the game...
Are you sure you really created the portal, sometime the spell fails. What door is closed in Dragonspire? There's a huge door that was always closed for me and the way where you get the Mavin. This one should still be open. -Deco |

Try clicking on the Altar of the Mavin, if you can get to it, and listen to the Narrator's speech. That might open the doors.
Also: Try casting "Vanish"...do you have the Vanish spell? Cast it on yourself as you stand close to the doors. I never heard of the doors closing up again! -Sazerac |

well.... this time it did.... but I meant the doors TO the altar of mavin...

I do... you don't have to shout... why? warlock: so we can try to get to the Brimloch Roons stupid! assasin: but what if... 1st warrior: what the hell... DO IT! assasin: ok ok geez... *cast Vanish on self* *the crew find themselves in the darkness* warlock: what the?  assasin: I knew it wouldn't work warlock: oh be quiet! *casts torchlight* 1st warrior: hey... this cave looks familiar... warlock: YES! it's the cave outside of the altar of mavin!  assasin: you mean it worked? 1st warrior and warlock together: YES!  assasin: gee.... I may be a better warlock than you... warlock: don't push it!
