....the Brimloch roon
I finished the dragonspire first before I did the boogre cave bit
so I went back to the Ishad N'ha gates and prepared my teleporation spell after I did the 'create portal' spell outside of the Brimloch gates (took my horse there)

1st warrior: hoo-hah! all right! let's go to the ship at brimloch roon!
2nd warrior: hey wiz! do your stuff!
warlock: all righty! here we go...

The spells Create Portal/Teleport should work in this part of the game...
Are you sure you really created the portal, sometime the spell fails.

What door is closed in Dragonspire? There's a huge door that was always closed for me and the way where you get the Mavin. This one should still be open.

Try clicking on the Altar of the Mavin, if you can get to it, and listen to the Narrator's speech. That might open the doors.

Also: Try casting "Vanish"...do you have the Vanish spell? Cast it on yourself as you stand close to the doors.

I never heard of the doors closing up again!

well.... this time it did.... but I meant the doors TO the altar of mavin...
