Am I doing my party any harm by making them run everywhere? Apart from the obvious problem of running into a large number of enemies, am I reducing my party's fighting ability by making them run?

Not that I've ever noticed. I run most of the places I've already been and my characters seem to fight like normal.

It is suposed to tire you and throw out your reflexes when you fight - I never found it a big obstacle to overcome though.

The logical thing would be that yes, your stamina would be depleted on excessive running (and swimming, IMO, should deplete it, unless they were all olympic-class swimmers and even then!) Again, something that probably was planned but never implemented in the game.

In Wizardry 7, you couldn't swim more than a few squares without drowning, even with swimming skill near 100. This game is the EXACT opposite...you can swim around the entire "world" without batting an eye.

well I'm not sure but,it seemed to me over the same amount of space ran instead of walked I had more incounters.Perhaps enemys can hear you crashing through the brush and breathing heavy more easy?Again maybe I was just unlucky.

Run if you know where you are (ie you maps filled in) as all you'll meet is standard spawned creatures. If your somewhere new walk so your map gets filled in and its then you'll meet the more intresting creatures / people. That way if running does affect your stamina then you'll know you'll come out ok.

...except may be if you have the spawn set to hard and you end up running into jungle lillies, man traps or those hideous little spores. In which case it worth having some one with scout skill so you can stop just before you run head long into them and get some long range spells ready.
