Are you drawing the line between Office 2007 on Vista and XP, or Office 2007 and Office 2003? I'm pretty sure that the ribbon exists if you're running Office 2007 on XP... when I get home and can check the other computers, I'll confirm that.

Winking Re: Windows vista?

He he... not meaning to stir the pot, but someone sent me a link to this image today:

Click here: http://xkcd.com/528/ for the full presentation, which includes XKCD's humorous little tool-tip bubble message disclaimer as well...

I am wondering, if the artist has even tried to use Windows 7, or if they are simply one of those people who hate anything Microsoft?

Ya gotta read the bubble tip on XKCD... truth is, he says...

Spoiler for in this message:
Diclaimer: I have not actually tried the beta yet. I hear it's quite pleasant and hardly Hitler-y at all.

I din’t actually read the posts yet, but I have been considering getting the newest windows OS and could use some advice on the subject.

I have an older computer, it is a Dell 8300, and will most likely not be able to purchase a newer one for at least another year. I have 1 gig of ram, a 256 MB video card and I am not actually sure what speed or type of processor is in it (I love computers and computer games I am just not that…interested or knowledgeable about them in general). I use my computer for my business stuff; invoices, banking, and such, and to play games on. Also for the internet obviously, but I do not download anything very often and usually just use the internet for e-mail and information about particular subjects or items.

Would it be a good idea for me to invest in a new OS, like vista, or should I just wait until I get a new computer?

Sorry, I read your other post first, and answered there.

Well, I didn't read your other post first, but I'll be Larry's answer looks a lot like this:

Wait for the new computer. Your current one will struggle to perform without substantial hardware upgrades.
