What is the deal with all the longswords in the game? I must have found over 20 magical ones my favourite being the sunray. But I have so much trouble finding a scimitar/ninja-to or a decent katana besides celestial dawn. Maybe i have just missed all the good oriental swords. I know they are rare but there must be another decnt one somewhere.

With katanas you have a few: Malakar, the Dakkon Zerth blade, couple +2's and +1's. As for ninja-to's there is only a +1 unless you are playing a Monk then you could use a +3 that is only available to them. Umm, scimitar's were addressed in another post not to far from this one; two +2 scimitars and one +3. I agree with you about there being way too many longsowrds and not enough other types of blade weapons.

Actually there are a bit to much Longswords I think.. even if I like the particular weapon there are far to few Scimitar's and such weapon.
Only really good 2handed sword is by my experiance Jarosmyr (or something like that) BTW, with Sunray, do you mean Daystar or have I missed one of them longswords? ------------------ |

SPOILERS
. . . . . . . There aren't too many good scimitars in the game, I hear there's a +3 one in the Underdark but so far I haven't found it. The best one after that is the Belm +2 in the Ogre's Tower. If you have the bonus cd (downloadable here) you can get a wonderful Katana for a dual or multi fighter mage or thief mage: Dakkon's Zerth Blade (giving extra spellslots from 1st to 4th level). Another wonderful katana is the Celestial Fury (in the Guarded Compound in the Temple district) The collectors cd also has a ninja-to I think (just download and install it and there will be a new male merchant called Joluv in the Copper Coronet and a new female merchant called Deidre in the Adventurers Mart) whew...gotta stop writing these long posts... ------------------ Melusine Your voice is ambrosia |

I believe I found a decent magical katana on the Slave Lords, but I shan't spoil their location unless someone asks me to

Is that who was in the guarded compound? I just went in and went straight to business. You know kill first ask questions later. I thought the slave lords were in the slum district.

...and I thought there were just plain too many weapons. Seems like i was continually picking up a decent weapon here or there. By the end of the game it seemed as if all i was carrying was tons of magic weapons! I was disappointed because each one had some special property or spell attached to it and you could waste alot of time looking at which weapon was good for what creature. For the most part, I didn't even use most of them because it seemed too much of a hassle.
